Lyrics (On My Honor)
On
my honor, three words say it all. On
my honor, for duty big or small. I
will do my duty to God up above, I
will do my duty for the country that I love. With
honor I will live; my best I’ll always give. On
my honor, on my honor.
On
my honor, just a simple phrase. On my honor, will
have meaning all my days. I’ll obey the Scout Law and help my fellow man. I’ll keep my body strong as I grow to be a man. With honor I will live; my best I’ll
always give. On my honor, on my honor.
On
my honor day by day. On my honor, for that’s
the only way.
On my honor,
I will do my best. On my honor, you can put me to
the test. I will fill my mind with truth and stay
mentally awake. I will hold my standards high and
be morally straight. With honor I will live; my best
I’ll always give. On my honor, on my honor. With honor I will live; my best I’ll
always give. On my honor, on my honor.
Lyrics (Fly As Eagles Fly)
t
wasn’t very long ago, when you were eight
and small, you pinned your Bobcat on your mom,
and felt so big and tall. You poured over your
Wolf book with a flashlight in bed. Then you worked
on your Bear with your heart and your head. Webelos
flew by, and your birthdays did, too. And before
you knew it, Cub Scouts were through.
It
wasn’t
quite as long ago, when you were twelve and strong,
you pinned your First Class on your mom, and felt
like you belonged. You earned badge after badge
and went on camp outs with dad. Finally you got
your Life, and your mom was so glad. Your project
flew by, and your birthdays did, too. And before
you knew it, your Eagle came through.
Now
here you are, an Eagle. Stand tall and take your
place. Come fly with power and majesty, with strength
to win each race.
It
won’t be very long before you’re
grown and on your own. If challenges should come
your way, and you feel all alone, just remember
to soar as only Eagles can soar. Stretch your wings
out, fly higher than ever before. The hard times
will pass, and your birthdays will, too. And before
you know it, your troubles are through.
Time
to fly high. Time to fly strong. Fly like an eagle
your whole life long. Rise up in faith above the
clouds, the future will meet your eye. Take with
you all that you have learned, and fly as Eagles
fly. And fly as Eagles fly.
